Living in Fl, I do not have too many warm scarfs, so this will be great! I'll be there for two months, so plan on doing lots of knitting. I'll post the scarf on Ravelry, once it is finished!
Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06043441206602874969noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-257521991202345721.post-6870587545620041842014-04-30T12:54:34.538-04:002014-04-30T12:54:34.538-04:00Yes, the pattern is worked in 18 stitch repeats. I love natural designs and colours so this is just perfect. I am new to knitting blogs and online groups and am amazed how much information there is and at the wonderful designs people share. One day I hope to be able to design my own patterns and share in return. with best wishes from the english countryside, now a land of 'mists and mellow fruitfulness' as we slip into autumn xannettehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00631053256016736693noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-257521991202345721.post-21567193471469840172012-06-08T17:17:54.721-04:002012-06-08T17:17:54.721-04:00HI

They have some very nice DK weight yarns that I am sure would work well for this pattern.
City Tweed DK yarn, Swish DK yarn, Gloss DK yarn, and Capra Cashmere yarn would probably all be good choices. Of the four I have only knit with City Tweed, which I absolutely loved!
If your are not keen on ordering yarn you could always visit a yarn shop near you and inquire about their line of DK weight yarns. Basically you want something that will be soft around your neck, and still have the nice drape a scarf needs. Most yarns that are soft will drape anyhow, so that shouldn't be a problem. I hope this helps! I'd love to see pictures of your finished scarf! :)Hollyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11895182739916517102noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-257521991202345721.post-47503257989760919552012-04-03T19:30:47.994-04:002012-04-03T19:30:47.994-04:00Beautiful! As were the purply-pink yarns and the jade yarn that I bought last weekend.....

No wonder my husband despairs of me!Elliehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07044052449391609739noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-257521991202345721.post-64148861434271733472011-03-08T11:58:04.137-05:002011-03-08T11:58:04.137-05:00Hi Holly - I have made a start on this stole, and ...Hi Holly - I have made a start on this stole, and it is a lovely pattern - I'm really enjoying knitting it.Elliehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07044052449391609739noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-257521991202345721.post-30363923938072384452011-03-05T14:19:00.505-05:002011-03-05T14:19:00.505-05:00This stole pattern is just what I was looking for ...This stole pattern is just what I was looking for - I bought ten balls of a lovely dusty pink cotton yarn in the sales at my favourite local yarn shop.

I found your blog via the knitting pattern website where you have posted a link, and I am enjoying finding new knitting enthusiasts to befriend (hopefully).Elliehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07044052449391609739noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-257521991202345721.post-16052652081898172632011-02-07T04:02:04.391-05:002011-02-07T04:02:04.391-05:00Hi Beautiful scarf by the way!
